Many years ago, as a child, I spent my holidays in Tylmanowa and Krościenko nad Dunajcem, where I served as an altar boy in the local church. Years later, I decided to take my children on a cycling trip through the peaks of the Pieniny Mountains. In time, the children forgave me for it. Since that memorable trip, we have been regularly visiting Szczawnica as a whole family. Today, the children also come here independently – with friends and their own families. This is our beloved corner of the world, with which we became connected several decades ago. We spent Christmas, birthdays, New Year’s Eves and ordinary days here. Agata learned to ski on Palenica, Paweł broke his snowboard in Tatranská Lomnica, and Jakub installed internet access so he could play online games. Once, the children came for their mother’s birthday and unexpectedly joined her at the table in Muzyczna Owczarnia, bringing her great joy. Over the years, many things have happened – our lives and plans have changed – but emotionally we are all connected to this place forever. Each of us lives in a different part of the world and follows our own paths, but we all meet in Szczawnica – just like we did several decades ago.
