Our house is a place that lovers of two wheels will truly enjoy!The area around our guesthouse is a real paradise for cycling enthusiasts. The Pieniny Mountains and their surroundings offer well-prepared routes of varying difficulty – from scenic, gentle paths ideal for families to more demanding mountain trails for experienced cyclists.During your ride, you will have the opportunity to admire breathtaking landscapes, cycle along the Dunajec River Gorge, discover charming ravines and mountain valleys, and reach places where nature impresses at every turn.Hop on your bike and set off on the trail – adventure awaits!

Cycling route along the Dunajec River (Pieniny Road)

Route length: approx. 12 km (one way)
Riding time: 1–2 hours
Difficulty level: easy, ideal for families with children
Route: Szczawnica → Red Monastery (Slovakia)

Route description:
This is one of the most scenic cycling routes in the Pieniny Mountains, running along the Dunajec River Gorge. The path is flat, well-surfaced, and leads through the Pieniny National Park, offering beautiful views of the Dunajec River and the rocky slopes of the Pieniny. The route ends at the Red Monastery in Slovakia, where you can take a break, visit the historic monastery, or try local specialties.

Attractions along the way:

  • Views of Trzy Korony and Sokolica peaks.
  • Dunajec River rafting – the possibility to see traditional wooden rafts.
  • Red Monastery – a historic complex dating back to the 14th century.

Tips:

  • The route is suitable for children and people with a lower fitness level.
  • Crossing into Slovakia requires an identity document.
  • Bikes can be rented in Szczawnica.

Cycling route around Lake Czorsztyn

Route length: approx. 30 km (loop)
Riding time: 3–4 hours
Difficulty level: moderate, with gentle climbs
Route: Niedzica → Dębno → Kluszkowce → Czorsztyn → Niedzica

Route description:
The cycling route around Lake Czorsztyn is an ideal option for cyclists who want to combine physical activity with admiring extraordinary landscapes. The route runs along asphalt and gravel roads, passing numerous viewpoints overlooking the lake as well as two castles – in Niedzica and Czorsztyn. Along the way, it is worth stopping for a rest by the lakeshore.

Attractions along the way:

  • Dunajec Castle in Niedzica and the ruins of Czorsztyn Castle.
  • The dam on Lake Czorsztyn.
  • Numerous viewpoints of the Tatras and the Pieniny Mountains.

Tips:

  • The route is well marked and suitable for trekking and mountain bikes.
  • There is an option to take a break at the beaches or rent electric bikes.

Rozdziela Pass – route for advanced cyclists

Route length: approx. 20 km (one way)
Riding time: 2–3 hours
Difficulty level: difficult, for more advanced cyclists
Route: Jaworki → Biała Woda Nature Reserve → Rozdziela Pass → Litmanová (Slovakia)

Route description:
This demanding route leads through one of the most beautiful places in the Little Pieniny Mountains. It starts in Jaworki and runs through the Biała Woda Nature Reserve, where you can admire limestone rocks and streams. The highest point of the route is Rozdziela Pass (803 m above sea level), from where there are incredible views of the Pieniny Mountains, the Beskid Sądecki and the Slovak village of Litmanová.

Attractions along the way:

  • Biała Woda Nature Reserve – rock formations and crystal-clear streams.
  • Scenic clearings at Rozdziela Pass.
  • Possibility of continuing the route towards the Slovak village of Litmanová.

Tips:

  • The route requires good fitness and a mountain bike.
  • Bring enough water and food supplies – there are no food facilities along the route.

Jaworki to Piwniczna via Eliaszówka and Wielki Rogacz

Route length: approx. 45 km (loop)
Riding time: 5–6 hours
Difficulty level: difficult
Route: Jaworki → Biała Woda Nature Reserve → Rozdziela Pass → Eliaszówka (1023 m above sea level) → Piwniczna → Wielki Rogacz (1182 m above sea level) → Gromadzka Pass → Jaworki

Route description:
The cycling loop from Jaworki to Piwniczna via Eliaszówka and Wielki Rogacz is a demanding but incredibly rewarding route. It begins in Jaworki, from where it leads through the Biała Woda Nature Reserve – one of the most picturesque corners of the Little Pieniny Mountains. Further on, the route climbs to Rozdziela Pass (803 m above sea level), from where there are views of the Pieniny Mountains, the Tatras and the Slovak mountains.

Next comes a long climb towards Eliaszówka (1023 m above sea level), where there is an observation tower offering a panorama of the Beskid Sądecki and Slovakia. The descent to Piwniczna-Zdrój is pure pleasure – a long, dynamic route leading through mountain forests and clearings. The next challenge is Wielki Rogacz (1182 m above sea level), the highest point of the route, which rewards cyclists with beautiful views of the Tatras, the Gorce Mountains and the Beskid Sądecki.

Then follows a long descent to Gromadzka Pass and the return along the same route through Rozdziela Pass to Jaworki.

  • Rozdziela Pass – beautiful views of the Tatras and the Pieniny Mountains.
  • Observation tower on Eliaszówka – a wide panorama of the Slovak mountain ranges.

  • Piwniczna-Zdrój – a spa town ideal for a short break.

Tips:

  • The route is demanding and requires good fitness and a mountain bike.
  • Bring enough water and food supplies – long climbs and mountain terrain can be exhausting.
  • The ideal time to set off is early in the morning to avoid crowds and enjoy peace on the trail.
